Mayor Greg Ballard recently kicked off the distribution of a comprehensive Indianapolis School Chooser Guide at a news conference with parents, teachers and representatives of community organizations and groups helping to distribute the guides within Marion County.
Published by GreatSchools in partnership with Stand for Children, Indiana Public Charter Schools Association, Indiana Non-Public Education Association, School Choice Indiana and The Indiana Partnerships Center, the 140-page guide contains information about all schools in Marion County. The guide includes programming information, key deadlines, transportation, fees and academic data gathered from all 11 public school districts, public charter schools, non-public schools and the Indiana Department of Education to help parents select the right fit for their children.
It will be distributed at dozens of Marion County locations so parents may conveniently pick up a copy. The guide will be updated for the 2013-2014 school year.
