SUMMARY:Roadtrip Nation Docuseries Premier\, Thriving: Black Men in Higher Education
DESCRIPTION:Last year\, Roadtrip Nation traveled across the country\, following three young Black men as they explored what’s possible for their futures in postsecondary education and beyond. With Thriving: Black Men in Higher Education making its debut on public television\, we are hitting the road once again with the Green RV to visit 6 schools to host student engagement events.\nThese events will feature candid discussions about higher education\, clips from the documentary\, and conversations with special guests that will give insight into how administrators\, educators\, and institutions can better support Black men and students of color in higher ed. Each event will also incorporate resources from our community hub\, an interactive digital space meant to provide students with the confidence and practical know-how to continue pursuing educational pathways and careers based on their interests and defining their own roads in life.\nWe’ll showcase some of our most powerful video content from the docuseries featuring Black male role models and thought leaders across the country. Your students will see inspiring and successful people just like them in a variety of career paths—and this will get them thinking about the many supports\, communities\, and resources available to support their success after graduation.
