The awards honor individuals and organizations whose work improves outcomes for minorities and women in private and public sectors. Rep. Andre Carson opened the celebration by congratulating the changemakers in the room and acknowledigng how diverse ideas bring about innovative solutions. Mayor Joe Hogsett said diversity was part of what makes Indianapolis a great city, thanking the Recorder Media Group for its many years of dedication to uplifting DEI.
