Wake Forest guard Jeff Teague is declaring for the NBA draft, but the sophomore from Indianapolis will not hire an agent, giving him the option to return to school.
The 6-foot-2 Teague was an Indiana high school All-Star at Indianapolis Pike in 2007.
He averaged a team-best 18.8 points and dished out 110 assists for the Demon Deacons this past season. He’s scored 1,000 points in his two-year college career.
Coach Dino Gaudio said Wednesday that he supports Teague’s decision.
Teague will be able to attend pre-draft workouts with NBA teams. He’ll have until June 15 to withdraw from the draft and return to school. The draft is June 25.
