Family Retreat Weekend
New Wineskin and The Streams Church are partnering once again for Family Retreat Weekend. Join them on Friday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m. for Family Game Night, Saturday, Aug. 12, at 2 p.m. for a picnic and car show, and Sunday, Aug. 13, at 6 p.m. for a concert with SPEAK LIFE. All events will be held at New Wineskin Ministries, 4501 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN 46254.
Social Media and Ministry Seminar
The Church Academy for Organizational Excellence will host a seminar on Aug. 19 from 9:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Walk in the Light Church, 25 W. Ninth St., Indianapolis, IN 46204. The seminar will be facilitated by skilled social media consultants and media ministers for church workers, leaders and others interested in expanding their ministry presence on social media. Topics will include: building a church website, using giving applications, streaming video and more. The $45 admission includes breakfast and materials. Approaching Happiness
Comedian Krish Mohan explores the idea of happiness and perceptions of mental illness in today’s society. He is removing the stigmas associated with immigration, drugs, gun control, racism and being accountable for the problems we’ve created, all revolving around the subject of mental health. Noontime Meditation
Take 30 minutes to connect to your heart, cultivate inner peace and happiness and clarify your intention.
