Famed poet, author and scholar Dr. Haki Madhubuti will visit Martin University in Indianapolis as part of his four-city book tour promoting his newest work, Taking Bullets: Fighting Terrorism, Stopping Violence and Seeking Healing.
Madhubuti will host a free public event in the universityās Gathertorium on Dec. 11 from 6ā8 p.m.
Madhubuti is the founder of Third World Press, the largest independent Black-owned press in the United States. Third World Press has published works for Pulitzer-winning author Gwendolyn Brooks as well as Sonia Sanchez, Sterling Plumpp and Pearl Cleage.
