Join the excitement on Saturday, June 6, 2009 for the first annual Home Team Celebrity Softball Challenge benefiting Indiana Children’s Wish Fund and presented by The Tony Stewart Foundation.

This inaugural event is a 7-inning celebrity softball game and will take place at the home of the Indianapolis Indians’ Victory Field between players of the major professional sports teams in Indiana along with other Indiana celebrities.

Taking place in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, fans will have the opportunity to witness their favorite hometown Superstars battle it out on the field. This event will be a part of Indiana Children’s Wish Fund’s 25th Anniversary and 2,000 wishes celebration!

Tickets are ONLY $5 and FREE for children ages 3 and under. Winner of the “Budweiser Home Run Derby” will receive two tickets to the Major League Home Run Derby event in St. Louis, MO, a tour of Anheuser-Busch Brewery and dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in St. Louis.

“This event has the potential to become an Indiana tradition with the ability to help grant wishes to Indiana children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses.” says Terry Ceaser-Hudson, Executive Director of Indiana Children’s Wish Fund. “Wish kids and fans seldom have the opportunity to see their favorite celebrities up close and personal. This event will bring celebrities and community together in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.”

Proceeds from this event will help Indiana Children’s Wish Fund grant wishes to Indiana children, ages 3 -18, who suffer from a life-threatening illness. Indiana Children’s Wish Fund has granted 2,000 wishes within the past 25 years to Indiana children. Wishes include; trips to Disney World, meeting celebrities, shopping trips, home computers and much more.
