For the past 17 years, central Indiana residents have welcomed RTV6 anchor Ericka Flye into their homes night after night, trusting her to bring them the news of the day. The Emmy-nominated anchor and reporter is a native of Anderson, Indiana, and a graduate of Ball State University in Muncie. Though Flye is best known for her TV work, she is also active in the community. Flye has worked with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana and United Way of Central Indiana in Hamilton County, and she has stayed involved at Ball State as a mentor for telecommunications students. For years, Flye has worked with Dress for Success in Indianapolis to empower women seeking economic independence. Flye also founded and is executive director of her own organization, Wings to Flye, a mentoring program for young girls.
