The Your Mind Matters Conference will serve as an opportunity to bring diverse partners together to promote physical and mental wellness among African American males. Workshop sessions will be led by subject matter experts in the area of addiction, mood disorders, and suicide, according to a press release. There will also be two panel discussions with key community leaders.

Keynote Speaker:
Mr. Simmons is a licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and behavioral consultant in the areas of chemical dependency, trauma and violence abatement. He specializes in culturally-responsible work with African American males and their families. His trainings and consultations are geared toward empowering community members to building a healthier and safer society.
