For the 23nd consecutive year, The Indianapolis Public Library has received the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The Library has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR).
The Certificate of Achievement represents a significant accomplishment by a governmental unit and its management.
“The Library is very proud to have received such ongoing recognition for its demonstrated high level of financial accountability,” said Dorothy Crenshaw, President of the Library Board of Trustees. “Citizens can be confident that its public library is being operated with an eye toward efficiency while serving as a good steward of public resources. This commitment to fiscal responsibility will continue as a guiding principle as the Library moves forward with a new five-year plan of service.”
