More than 200 million people are expected to enjoy watching nations come together and celebrate the world’s top athletes during the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

Comcast Indianapolis has announced that its XFinity TV is available to help enhance the viewing experience of the Olympics and other special events.

Comcast XFinity TV, along with NBCUniversal, promises to deliver more content than ever and bring more ways to enjoy the action during the Olympics viewing experience, enhancing opportunities to see the amazing feats of speed, endurance and skill.

Based on the all-new X1 platform, XFinity TV is led by a host of interactive technologies and integrated mobile apps.

Randy Jones, director of communications for Comcast Indianapolis, said XFinity TV provides the most technologically advanced viewing experience ever whether for the Olympics, other events or movies.

“The Tech X1 platform is the first of its kind,” Jones said. “It is able to leverage the power of any network in a secure, all encompassing platform. With an advanced operating system it transforms the traditional cable format into one that is unforgettable for viewers.”

Comcast Cable is the nation’s largest video, high-speed Internet and phone provider to residential customers under the XFinity brand and also provides these services to businesses. Comcast has invested in technology to build an advanced network that delivers among the fastest broadband speeds, and brings customers personalized video, communications and home management offerings.
