President Obama’s in need of a slow jam

More by this author

(CNN) — Three years ago, Beyonce performed Etta James’ “At Last” for a newly elected President Obama and First Lady Michelle as they had their first dance at an inaugural ball.

Now, as he prepares to enter his second term, another round of inauguration events are on the horizon – and the president’s still mulling over the right song.

He told Ryan Seacrest as much on Tuesday, when the radio and TV personality asked whether Obama had a song picked out, should he win the election.

“Now that’s a touch choice, and I think I’ll have to consult with my wife,” Obama said. “Whatever it is, it’s got to be a slow song so that I can put my moves on Michelle. Something a little romantic, you know?”

Perhaps revealing a little more than Seacrest’s audience really wanted to know, he added, “I haven’t seen her a lot lately. I’ve been on the road too much.”
