The Indianapolis Chapter of The Links Inc. will host its 29th Annual Celebrity BBQ & Grille Thursday, April 19 at the Marriott Hotel downtown. A reception will begin at 6:15 p.m. followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the program starting at 8 p.m.
The celebrities that will be roasted this year are:
• Dr. Robert Bowen, founder, chairman and CEO of Bowen Corp.
• Brenda Burke, director of Supplier Diversity Nationwide for WellPoint Inc.
• Ellen Greenleaf, vice president of PROJECTS.
• Tony Mason, vice president of the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee.
• Myron Richardson, executive director of Flanner House.
• Andrea Neely, regional director of UNCF.
• Matthew Steward, president of Steward & Associates.
Proceeds from the Celebrity BBQ & Grille has allowed The Links to contribute more than $200,000 to community organizations such as the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Martin University and the Indianapolis Art Center. This year’s event will benefit The Fit Kids Program sponsored by the Minority Health Coalition of Marion County.
