I’m glad I said, “yes” to attending George’s Neighborhood Grill last week. I was called up last minute and it was on a Sunday after church. I thought of a million reasons not to go. I don’t know about you, but after church on Sundays I like to go home and relax.
But I gave in and it was one of the best decisions I made that day. The food was lip-smacking good. The grill definitely gives off that formal business attire vibe. The black décor sparkled with elegance. The huge booths stood out to me along with the nice sized tables as well.
The atmosphere makes you feel older and mature. It almost seemed like jazz should’ve been playing instead of football on the large flat screens. Sorry to all you football fans, I was just making an observation. Anyhow, George’s Neighborhood Grill is a flavorsome spot.

I ordered the Grilled Italian Wrap ($7.99). I was so satisfied with my choice. It was more delicious than expected. My wrap tasted like… pizza! It wasn’t in a weird way though. The sliced ham, bacon, and pepperoni smothered with mozzarella in a garlic herb tortilla and served with a side of marinara sauce tasted like a rolled up pizza sandwich. Bursting in sassy flavors, it was hard to put down.
I also was able to try my guests’ appetizers including Baked Soft Pretzel Sticks ($7.29), which are served hot with cheese sauce – absolutely yummy. I also ate some pub style potato skins smothered with cheese, bacon, scallions and served with sour cream. Those were enticing as well.
Our server was timely and well prepared too. I also like the T-shirts the waitresses wore sporting “George’s Grill” on them. Why is that something I even noticed? Well, because it was glittery is probably the only legit explanation I have. It shimmered throughout our visit and was quite fun.
George’s Neighborhood is on the expensive side though. The grill is definitely a place for a nice business meal or date, but not for a casual meal with friends. I can’t wait to return and just fill up on appetizers. Good stuff!
