Chocolate Fest: Sample sweet treats, fund arts education

Sample some of Indy’s sweetest treats at Chocolate Fest, benefiting Arts for Learning, the Indiana affiliate of Young Audiences.

The fest is Oct. 17 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Dallara IndyCar Factory at 1201 W. Main St. in Speedway.

Adult tickets cost $20 at the door or $15 online at chocolatefestindy.com. Tickets for children ages 3 to 13 are $5.

Chocolate Fest includes a host of local chefs, chocolatiers, bakers and restaurateurs. In addition to desserts, the event will also offer activities for kids and a chance to explore the Dallara Interactive Museum.

More than 20 vendors are registered, including: Best Chocolate in Town, Louise’s Sweets, SoBro Cafe, Endangered Species Chocolate, Peacetree Mountain Truffle, Wicked Suga, Just Pop In!, Amelia’s, Mallow Run Winery and Sun King Brewing Company.

Chocolate Fest will allow adults to try 10 samples with their sample tickets, and children to sample five different desserts. Additional sample tickets will be available for $1 during the event.

As the oldest and largest provider of professional arts education programs in the state, Arts for Learning works with more than 65 teaching artists and arts organizations to provide performances, workshops and residencies to schools, libraries, parks and community centers.
