The sweet enticing aroma of breakfast fills the restaurant. The smell of sausage, bacon, biscuits, pancakes dripped in syrup and coffee overtakes your nostrils.
Where can you find this enticing smell? Itās none other than Le Peep Restaurant, an eatery that has the reputation for the best breakfast in town.
Your eyes wonāt know what they want after scanning the delightful menu filled with sensational choices of breakfast. The menu reminds me of a cookbook with lots of delicious recipes, which you want to try all at once. I had to hurry and give my order before my mouth started watering. The aroma of breakfast was getting strong and I could only last for so long.
I ordered the Belgian Waffle Combo served with two eggs, sausage links and Pleasant Potatoes. The waffle tasted as if it just came out of a waffle maker. It was crispy and the butter melted just like it does in commercials. The eggs were the sunshine on the plate, especially since I topped mine with cheese. The sausage links were juicy and tender. Oh, and I canāt forget about the Pleasant Potatoes. Lets just say they definitely live up to their name.
The plate itself looked as if it belonged on a TV commercial. The smell of all the foods combined was heavenly, and I couldnāt help but to finish my plate without sitting my fork down one time. To top it all off you have to have an ice, cold glass of milk. Thatās just what I ordered and it definitely made the meal complete.
Iām not going to give you all the options on the menu, because I want you to discover the restaurant for yourself and be surprised. However, I will give you a tease at what there is to enjoy. Stuffed French Toast Custard is one option, dipped French Toast stuffed with a creamy vanilla ricotta and cream cheese filling with a touch of orange and lemon zest topped with strawberries and powdered sugar.
For something new and exciting try the Salmon Benedict, a broiled salmon steak placed on top of cream cheese and a toasted English muffin finished off with poached eggs and rich hollandaise. Or try Le Peepās Mini Veggie Omelet, a fluffy two egg white omelet filled with diced tomatoes, green peppers, onions, broccoli and a combination of cheese.
As you can tell the menu is filled with not just traditional breakfast foods, so step out on the edge and try something different. Le Peep also offers lunch such as Cajun Chicken Press, grilled New Orleans style with Cajun spices covered in Swiss cheese and bacon on top of mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato pressed between their panini flat bread.
You can also try Le Peepās Mountain Mushroom Burger, an Angus beef burger, with a mountain of mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese.
No matter what your plans may be whether itās a date, family lunch or some quality time alone, go ahead and peek your head into Le Peeps. You will not want to leaveā¦I guarantee it.
