Eunice Trotter, former publisher of the Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper, will be inducted into the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame at the organization’s 52nd annual induction banquet on May 20.
Trotter, who currently serves as communications specialist at American Senior Communities, studied journalism at Indiana University and Martin University before taking the helm at the Indianapolis Recorder in 1987.
Trotter made stops at publications in Florida and New York, among other locales, before she settled at the Indianapolis Star for a 9-year stint. Trotter left the Star in 2011 and has been with American Senior Communities since.
The Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame celebration at Columbia Club on May 20 begins with cash bar at 10:30 a.m. with a luncheon and induction ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are $50 per adult and $25 for children under 12 and must be purchased by May 10.
