Braylon Beasley, a fourth grader at Herron Preparatory Academy, is the author of the book “Is God Real?”. Having ministered to his friends, Braylon is no stranger to spreading the word.  Now he seeks to share a message of faith through his writing, following in his mother’s footsteps.

“What influenced me to make the book was because my mom wrote books and I wanted to be like her, so I decided to write a book, and now I’m going to start continuing to write,” Braylon said.

His mother, Michelle Beasley, is the author of various books in the Christian inspiration genre such as “Journaling the Journey with Jesus.”

Many of Braylon’s friends and family saw his talent in ministering to his friends and thought that he should put his ideas on paper to help other children understand their faith.

“He just wanted to reach other children by sharing the love of God,” Michelle said.

Braylon’s book “Is God Real ? : Big Questions, Real Answers” is about faith and how young people experience faith in real life moments. The book helps children explore what faith means to them by presenting common spiritual questions addressed by Braylon, accompanied by his own personal experiences.

Using Bible verses and interactive activities, the book provides readers with an opportunity to develop their own understanding of faith. Braylon wanted to create an experience that could be shared with both children and adults alike.

He relied on his mother’s experience in faith-writing and religious inspiration to create the second edition of the book meant for adults.

Braylon encourages adults to have more open communication with young people about their faith.

“I think something that I have to say is parents should teach their children about God,” Braylon said. “Not only with just taking them to church every day, they need to learn more about God.

As Indianapolis natives, the dynamic team of Michelle and Braylon Beasley seek to spread their message throughout the local community with the double release of their books.

Braylon previewed his book at his church home, The Sanctuary Church, and signed copies for his fellow church members. This young author told the Recorder he planned on continuing his writing journey to reach others with his message of faith and love.

Braylon and Micelle Beasley’s books are available for purchase on Amazon.
