‘WHO’S BAD: THE MUSIC OF MICHAEL JACKSON’

The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band is visiting Conner Prairie for a performance of the chart-topping music and jaw-dropping dance moves of the undisputed King of Pop. The fun is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 25, and Saturday, Aug. 26. Tickets to this all-ages event start at $13 and can be purchased at indianapolissymphony.org.

 

The Boss Extravaganza

Back and better than ever, the BOSS Extravaganza is here to showcase Black Owners Striving for Success. On Saturday, Aug. 26, from 1:30–6:30 p.m., come out and enjoy 30-plus vendors as they share their products and knowledge with the community. Admission is free, and swag bags will be given to the first 50 people. The BOSS Extravaganza will take place at 4602 N. Emerson Ave.

 

An Evening with author Kimberla Lawson Roby

On Aug. 25, author Kimberla Lawson Roby will be speaking and signing books at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. This event will feature her self-published novel, Behind Closed Doors, and more of her world-renowned reads. CHREECE: A HIP-HOP FESTIVAL

Celebrate hip-hop culture in the ever-evolving neighborhood of Fountain Square. Chreece will take place at six indoor and outdoor venues, bringing together 50-plus artists for an all-day, all-ages celebration of Indiana hip-hop.
