Early voting information

More by this author

The Marion County Clerk’s Office wants to ensure everyone is prepared for in person early voting. Parking near the City-County Building presents a challenge to voters. The surface lots on Alabama Street across from the City-County Building no longer exist. I recommend, therefore, that residents who come to the Clerk’s Office for in person early voting park in the surface lot located at 355 East Pearl Street, Indianapolis, IN 46204. The lot must be accessed from Pearl Street.

This open air parking lot is located at the southwest corner of Pearl Street & New Jersey Street directly west of the LaQuinta Inn Hotel and just north of the Indianapolis Heliport. Look for the EZ Park signs to direct you west on Pearl Street from New Jersey Street.

Residents who park in the Pearl Street lot for in person early voting will not incur parking fees as a courtesy from the Marion County Clerk’s Office.

Additionally, metered parking is free each Sunday. There is metered parking off of Alabama Street, Market Street, Washington Street, and Delaware Street near the City-County Building. Voters can enter the building using the main entrance on Market Street and the west entrance on Delaware Street.

On Tuesday October 6, in person early voting begins in the Marion County Clerk’s Office. Marion County residents can vote early in the Clerk’s Office during the weekdays from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

The weekend hours for in person early voting will be 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Weekend early voting  will occur on Saturday October 10, Sunday October 11, Saturday October 17, Sunday October 18, Saturday October 24, Sunday October 25, Saturday October 31, and Sunday November 1. The Election Board has extended weekend early voting by two extra weekends.

On Monday November 2, the last day to vote early, residents can vote in the Clerk’s Office from 8:00 a.m. until noon. The Municipal Election will be Tuesday November 3 from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
