Ezekiel 12:28 – “Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be performed, declares the Lord God.” (ESV)
There comes a moment in every believer’s life when hesitation becomes more dangerous than failure.
When God speaks, delay is not only disobedience — it’s a missed opportunity for destiny. In Ezekiel 12:28, the Lord confronts a spirit of procrastination in the people of Israel. Discouraged by exile and weary from waiting, they started saying, “The vision is for the distant future.” In other words, “It’s not going to happen anytime soon, so what’s the rush?”
But God interrupts their resignation with a powerful declaration: “None of My words will be delayed any longer.”
In one sentence, the Lord rebukes complacency and reignites urgency. This is not just a prophecy — it’s a divine wake-up call.
In today’s world, procrastination is often seen as a minor flaw — something we joke about or blame on our schedules. But in the spiritual realm, procrastination is a form of disobedience. When we delay what God has told us to do, we rob ourselves of the power, provision, and progress that come from walking in step with His timing.
Too many people live in the land of “almost.”
“I almost started the business.”
“I almost answered the call to the ministry.”
“I almost reconciled that relationship.”
But “almost” never activated a promise. “Almost” never built a legacy. “Almost” never parted the Red Sea, tore down Jericho’s walls, or raised the dead. Faith that pleases God is a faith that acts — now.
Psychologists tell us that procrastination is often rooted in fear — fear of failure, fear of rejection or fear of success. Spiritually, procrastination can be linked to disbelief. We delay action because we doubt God’s word, God’s timing or God’s power to carry us through. But the good news in Ezekiel 12:28 is that God’s word doesn’t depend on our comfort.
God says, “The word I speak will be performed.”
In other words, whether we’re ready or not, God is ready.
So, what is God asking you to do? What have you been putting off for a more “convenient” season? The truth is, there will never be a perfect moment to walk in obedience. There will never be a time when every piece fits perfectly. That’s why obedience isn’t about perfection — it’s about movement. Do it now.

Ezekiel’s audience had lost hope in the immediacy of God’s promises. But God was stirring up a remnant with renewed faith and holy urgency. God is doing the same today. This is your now moment.
There’s no more time to waste. No more cycles to repeat. The word has been spoken. The window is open. The opportunity is divine.
Do. It. Now.
