The Indiana Mad Ants announced an open player tryout for Oct. 5. The tryout will take place at the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club, located at 1700 Conner Street, 46060.

This one-day tryout offers aspiring basketball players a chance to display their skills and potentially earn a spot in the Mad Ants’ training camp ahead of the 2024-25 G League season.

To participate, players must register in advance and pay a non-refundable fee of $250. Space for the tryout is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

The Mad Ants, the G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, have a history of identifying local talent through these tryouts. Notable former tryout participants include Ron Howard and last season’s standout, Will Vorhees, who secured a spot on the team’s regular season roster after participating in a similar event.

This marks the first open tryout for the Mad Ants since the 2019-20 season. Interested players can secure their spot by registering online at tinyurl.com/MadAntTryout.

Who knows? Maybe one of the people reading this will make this year’s roster … Only time will tell.
