It is official: three of the biggest pay-per-views for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) are headed to the Circle City.

The WWE, alongside Indiana Sports Corp, are tag teaming to bring WrestleMania, SummerSlam and the Royal Rumble to Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis, the wrestling giant announced on June 24.

President of Indiana Sports Corp Patrick Talty believes the partnership is one –of a kind.

ā€œWe are excited to bring this groundbreaking partnership to Indianapolis and our state,” Talty said. “This partnership with WWE continues to push that strategy forward in new and exciting ways. We look forward to welcoming the WWE Universe to our community and state and showing them all that Indy has to offer.”

The announcement comes one day after Lucas Oil Stadium hosted the 2024 Olympic Swim Trials and on the same day that WWE Monday Night RAW makes its stop here in Indianapolis.

Since 1979, Indiana Sports Corp has hosted over 500 sporting events, including 11 Big Ten Football Championships, the College Football Playoff National Championship, NCAA Final Fours and even Super Bowl XLVI. Combined, these events have generated more than $4 billion in direct spending in the Indy community.

WWE Executive Vice President Chris Legentil thinks Indy is an awesome choice to host events like SummerSlam, Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.

“Indianapolis is a fantastic city for major events and we’re excited to invite the WWE Universe to Lucas Oil Stadium for Royal Rumble in 2025,” Legentil said.

Legentil went on to thank Talty and the team at Indiana Sports Corp for their unwavering commitment to the Hoosier State.

“Patrick and the team at Indiana Sports Corp have done a phenomenal job bolstering local economics and tourism,” Legentil said. “We are proud to partner with them to shine a light on the great state of Indiana.”

Additionally, Legentil confirmed that Indy would host “a future SummerSlam and WrestleMania.”

Chief Content Officer of WWE Paul Levesque, whom many remember as ‘Triple H,’ was also a part of breaking the news to the WWE fandom.

“Today we are thrilled to announce that all three WWE mega-events are rolling through Indy,” Levesque said. “Royal Rumble, SummerSlam and WrestleMania are all making stops in the iconic Lucas Oil Stadium.”

Media personality and former Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee was also fired up about WWE’s “big three” pay-per-views coming to Indy.

“The holy trinity of wrestling is going down in beautiful Indianapolis,” McAfee said.

The Royal Rumble is slated for February 1, 2025, at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. Those interested in learning more about tickets for the event can visit onlocationexp.com/wwe/royal-rumble-tickets.
