Organizers announced that Unite for Change will hold its eighth Urban Servant Leadership Unconference, themed “Freedom Through Unity,” on June 21 at Martin University.
The event, running concurrently with Juneteenth weekend, aims to foster collaborative solutions to systemic challenges in Indiana’s urban communities.
The free daylong gathering — from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. — will bring together grassroots advocates, faith leaders, educators, nonprofits and youth to share resources and strategies for advancing equity and justice.
Unite for Change, a community advocacy group, emphasizes empowering “everyday changemakers” to drive grassroots progress through education, mobilization and collective action.
This year’s program features four focus areas: Public Policy & Civic Engagement, Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship, Health & Wellness Initiatives and Social Justice & Equity.
A dedicated Youth Empowerment Track will include workshops and a luncheon, while the UFC Awards Luncheon will honor local leaders.
The event is co-hosted with Martin University, Let Them Talk Coalition, Steward Speakers and The (&) Campaign.
Organizers say the partnerships reflect a shared commitment to bridging service gaps and amplifying underrepresented voices.
Registration is open to all at uniteforchange.org.
