Newfields transforms its campus once again into a sprawling winter wonderland for its annual Winterlights festival. The event, now celebrating nearly a decade of holiday magic, runs from Nov. 21, 2025 to Jan. 4, 2026, offering families and visitors a luminous escape into the spirit of the season.
This yearās installation, presented by Bank of America, promises to build upon beloved traditions while introducing new, immersive elements. Among the anticipated highlights is a monumental, glittering ornament that guests can physically step into, immersing themselves in the holiday spirit quite literally.
āOur team here at Newfields works behind the scenes throughout the year to bring the magic of Winterlights to life, and we are starting to feel the excitement as the season approaches,ā Ruth Lilly Director of The Garden and Fairbanks Park Jonathan Wright said. āWe are celebrating almost a decade of Winterlights this year, and our guests have come to know and love the tradition and make magical memories in The Garden.ā
The core attractions that have defined the experience return, including the nearly two million lights draping the trees and pathways, the breathtaking Landscape of Light and the Twinkling Trail. The historic Lilly House will also feature whimsical Dickens Villages on loan from The McCaw Collection, alongside festive gingerbread displays and the Styled for the Season floral exhibition.
Community and corporate partnerships form a cornerstone of the event. Bank of Americaās sponsorship underscores a commitment to fostering local cultural touchstones.
