The WNBA and its Indianapolis All-Star Host Committee announced a series of community events planned around the WNBA All-Star 2025 game. The activities run from July 17-19 and focus on youth empowerment, health, career development and sustainability.Ā
The centerpiece is the second annual WNBA Changemaker Day on July 17 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Partnering with Voice in Sport and the Black Women’s Health Imperative, the league and its Changemaker sponsors will address period poverty. Volunteers will assemble 25,000 hygiene kits for local nonprofits Indy Hygiene Hub and Project Period Indy. A panel discussion featuring experts like BWHI’s Dr. Zsanai Epps and Nike’s Vanessa Garcia-Brito will explore the positive impact of puberty, body image and sports. The day includes a Jr. WNBA clinic.
On July 18, the WNBA Cares State Farm Assist Tracker Legacy Project renovated wellness spaces at Girl Scouts of Central Indiana’s Camp Dellwood. This initiative extends the season-long program that assists in triggering donations to support community centers.
Two programs aim to cultivate future sports industry talent. The new WNBA HBCU Event Intern Program presented by Mielle brings six HBCU students, including Hampton University athletes, behind the scenes.
The Host Committee’s WNBA All-Star HBCU Fever Fellows program offers six Midwest female students mentoring and work experience with Pacers Sports & Entertainment. Both cohorts will collaborate during the week.

Youth-focused events include:
- A Jr. WNBA x AT&T Clinic and Workshop (July 18, Boner Fitness Center) featuring skills, vision boards, and mental wellness panels.Ā
- The Indy Playbook: From Passion to Profession (July 18, Marriott Downtown), a career-building event for high school girls with industry leaders.Ā
- A Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Leagues Clinic (July 19, Indiana Convention Center) for ages 6-12, plus skills challenges.Ā
On July 19, the inaugural GirlTREK & WNBA All-Star Community Health Walk presented by Evernorth hosts a 5k at White River State Park promoting holistic health.
The WNBA Line’ Em Up initiative will paint official 3-point lines on public courts and driveways statewide. A “Ball Drop” event with giveaways is set for July 17 at Wes Montgomery Park.
Significant sustainability efforts include:
- A reusable cup program at Gainbridge Fieldhouse (part of the “Protect Where We Play Tour”).Ā
- 100% renewable energy powering All-Star venues.Ā
- Expanded recycling/composting infrastructure.Ā
- A pre-event cleanup of 25 public courts with Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.Ā
