The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (WBHOF) officially revealed its Class of 2025 on Nov. 15, honoring seven individuals making a significant impact on the sport.
This year’s inductees include four accomplished players, two legendary coaches and a leading contributor who has advocated for the growth of the game.
WBHOF President Dana Hart shared her thoughts on the Class of 2025.
“We are honored to pay tribute to seven distinguished legends of this exceptional sport,” Hart said in a statement. “They exemplify the highest standards in women’s basketball and have made substantial contributions to the sport along with shaping the game’s historical trajectory.”
The 2025 class features four esteemed players: Alana Beard, Sue Bird, Sylvia Fowles and Cappie Pondexter. The latter finished her career with the Indiana Fever in 2018.
Also entering the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame are two highly regarded coaches: Mark Campbell and Lucille Kyvallos.
Danielle Donehew, Executive Director of the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, completes the class. Her extensive career in basketball administration has included roles with the WNBA’s Atlanta Dream, The BIG EAST Conference, and The University of Tennessee.
The induction ceremony for the Class of 2025 into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame happens on June 14, 2025 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
