On Saturday, May 17 Bloom Project Inc., a not for profit organization that provides volunteer, education, and character building opportunities for youth, will present their monthly program entitled, “Discrimination” with the Honorable Judge Geoffrey Gaither” as part of the Project King series.
Participants will learn and understand the origins of their own racial attitudes and establish their own personal goals for development of a more positive racial attitude. They will also examine how dysfunctional stereotypes are developed and maintained, and increase their awareness about racial issues in the Black community.
The Honorable Geoffrey Gaither presides as the senior Magistrate of the Marion County Juvenile Court where he has served since 1995. His jurisdiction includes delinquencies, child welfare issues, paternity, guardianship, adoption related matters, child support and custody cases.
Participants will join other young males at the Pike Library Branch located at 6525 Zionsville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46268. The program will take place between 10:30am – 12:30pm.
