A Fall Senior Health Fair will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 29, at Westview Healthplex Sports Club, 3660 N. Guion Road. The fair will be held indoors so participants do not have to worry about the weather.
The fair will be sponsored by American Senior Communities, WTHR Channel 13, Community Health Network’s Touchpoint senior services and Westview Hospital.
One lucky person will receive a trip for two to New York to see the Dr. Oz TV show this fall. That prize will include a $1,000 travel voucher and a pair of tickets to be in the audience at the show. Signed copies of Dr. Oz’s latest book, You Being Beautiful, will be raffled to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.
The first 200 people with Medicare cards can receive free flu shots. Free health screenings include hearing and vision testing, cholesterol, glucose and blood pressure checks, grip strength, balance and flexibility testing and foot screening.
