Fashion Cafe is now open

I’ve always loved going to the mall, however I’ve never been the type to really care about what type of food offerings were in the food court. After all, I’m there to shop not eat!

Well, The Fashion Mall at Keystone may make me change my tune. After months of construction, the new food court is open and shoppers will have an eclectic array of food items to choose from at the Fashion Café.

The Fashion Café, located in the west wing of the mall, is far from the typical pizza and taco mall food courts and is a unique in-mall dining experience. The Fashion Café looks amazing and is more like a contemporary art museum lobby than a food court. It also boasts new restrooms, natural light streaming in on diners, comfortable seating, an escalating ceiling, a custom designed chandelier lighting sculpture, and an indoor/outdoor dining space complete with a fireplace.

Three totally new restaurants to Indiana located in the new food court is Pinkberry, Freshii and Elevation Burger.

“They’re all different, but have similar themes. They focus on wanting to serve a better, healthier product,” said David Grossman, president of Fresh Food Management, the company operating these new restaurants in Indiana.

Pinkberry, one of the world’s fastest growing global retail brands, serves a variety of frozen yogurt flavors, fresh-cut-daily fruit and premium toppings. From store design and exceptional customer service to irresistible yogurt flavors and toppings, Pinkberry delivers a delightful and refreshing experience.

“They will not serve any fruit unless it’s at its absolute ripest. It’s really focused on quality and freshness,” said Grossman.

Freshii offers a menu of salads; burritos; wraps; noodle, quinoa and rice bowls; yogurts; breakfast; and soups made with high-quality ingredients. Freshii is part of a movement called “health-casual.” It has all the elements of fast food with the added focus on health and wellness. With a motto of “Eat. Energize.,” Freshii provides fresh and nutritious meals that energize people on the go.

Elevation Burger is a health conscious twist on the traditional burger-and-fries. The beef is 100 percent USDA certified organic, grass-fed and free range. All meat is ground on premises and made with 100 percent heart-healthy olive oil.

“When I go to Elevation Burger, I get a kids cheeseburger and a veggie burger. It’s the perfect combination,” said Grossman.

At all three restaurants, prices range from $6 to $20.

There is still a bit of work to be done in the food court area and once it’s complete, shoppers will have a wide variety of choices. In addition to Pinkberry, Freshii and Elevation Burger, mall-goers can look forward to other choices in the near future such as Bahn by Naked Tchopstix, a sushi bar that offers the city’s freshest sashimi directly from Hawaii, and a renowned assortment of cooked sushi rolls; and See’s Candies, an American-made candy and chocolate shop that prides itself on using only the finest, freshest ingredients in each recipe.

Whether you’re shopping, work in the Keystone at the Crossing area, or simply want to check out these brand new restaurant concepts, head to The Fashion Mall at Keystone and taste healthy, wholesome, nutritious food on the go.
