(CNN) — Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for two children believed to have been abducted last week by their mother’s boyfriend in western Tennessee.
Terry Nichols, 51, is accused for kidnapping three-year-old Jilleeann Calderon and four-year-old James Brown in Obion County, according to a statement from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The TBI says Nichols also abducted his 16-year-old niece, Ashley Burse, and her three-month-old baby girl, Ava, from a Walmart in Kennett, Missouri. Nichols is the biological father of the infant, Missouri officials said.
All the children were last seen Wednesday, but weren’t reported missing until Monday, authorities said.
Nichols has previous criminal convictions for child abuse, officials said. He is wanted for aggravated kidnapping and is known to carry a weapon, they said.
Authorities said Nichols and the children may be travelling in southern Alabama in a 2001 white Dodge Caravan with Tennessee license plate 286WPL
