The WNBA held its draft lottery Nov. 17, with the Dallas Wings securing the No. 1 pick for the 2025 WNBA Draft.
Many mock drafts have University of Connecticut standout guard Paige Bueckers going first.
The 2025 draft order is as follows:
- Dallas Wings
- Los Angeles Sparks
- Chicago Sky
- Washington Mystic
- Golden State Valkyries
- Washington Mystic (via Atlanta Dream)
- New York Liberty (via Phoenix Mercury)
- Indiana Fever
- Seattle Storm
- Chicago Sky (via Connecticut Sun)
- Minnesota Lynx
- Phoenix Mercury (via New York Liberty)
The Las Vegas Aces forfeited their first-round pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft following an investigation that found the organization violated league rules.
The league’s newest team, the Golden State Valkyries received the No. 5 pick earlier this summer.
Last year, the Indiana Fever snagged the first overall pick, ultimately selecting Iowa Hawkeyes star Caitlin Clark. Her addition to the franchise proves to be monumental, breaking numerous records, boosting attendance and pushing the team to the playoffs.
Following the draft lottery, Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale, who also played at Notre Dame , took to social media to thank the powers that be.
“I just fell to my knees,” Ogumbowale said on social platform X. “Thank you Lord!”
The 2025 WNBA Draft happens April 14.
