Purdue sees statewide enrollment grow 3 percent

Purdue University says its statewide fall semester enrollment is up more than 3 percent from last year.

Purdue officials announced Friday that the school has 74,319 enrolled students, including those at its campuses in West Lafayette, Hammond, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis and at its College of Technology sites.

The main campus in West Lafayette has 39,697 students, about 400 fewer than last year.

Indiana University has reported a record 41,756 students at its Bloomington campus, with records also being set at IUPUI and the IU campuses in South Bend, Richmond and New Albany.
