Jay-Z has added dates to his winter/spring US tour in support of the 2009 album The Blueprint 3. Among additions to the now 21-city tour is a hometown show March 2 at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
The tour begins February 20 in Florida and is currently set to end March 26 in Los Angeles. Opening for the Jay-Z will be Grammy-nominated rapper Young Jeezy and R&B singer Trey Songz.
Tickets for most dates are available now, while tickets for the newly announced dates – the Madison Square Garden show, plus one in Uncasville, Connecticut – go on sale January 15.
The Blueprint 3 is Jay-Z’s 11th studio album and the final installment in his “Blueprint” trilogy, which includes 2001’s The Blueprint and 2002’s Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse. Also the singer’s 11th No. 1 album, The Blueprint 3 made Jay-Z the solo artist with the most No. 1 albums on Billboard’s top chart, a record he previously shared with Elvis Presley.
