INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Center Jeff Saturday has told Colts players to stay away from the team complex until they’re allowed to work out.
Indianapolis’ player representative to the union says he contacted teammates after a judge’s ruling Monday ended the 45-day lockout. On Tuesday, players were permitted to enter facilities, though league officials say they’ll need a few days to sort things out before “football activities” can resume.
Saturday says he understands the reasoning and believes it is better for players to continue working out on their own for now.
He calls the ruling a first step to getting back to football normalcy.
