INDIANAPOLIS – The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Indiana Holiday Commission will host the 19th Annual Statewide King Holiday Celebration on Thursday, January 14, 2010.
The King State Employee Holiday Celebration will begin at 12:30 PM in the State House Rotunda. The keynote address will be provided by Mayor James A. Young of Philadelphia, Mississippi. Mayor Young is the first African American Mayor elected in the city known for the 1964 killings of three civil rights workers by the members of the Klu Klux Klan.
