Central Indiana sports fans may enjoy playoff baseball at Victory Field next week for the first time since 2005. The Indianapolis Indians enter the final weekend of the season within reach of the International League’s Wild Card playoff spot.
Tickets for the International League Governors’ Cup playoffs are now on sale if the Indians secure a playoff spot, they would host the first two games of a best-of-five series versus the North Division champion. Games 1 and 2 will be played Sept. 7 and Sept. 8 respectively. First pitch each day is schedule for 7:05 p.m.
Single-game tickets for all Indians home playoff games will be $10 for both box and reserved seat tickets. Lawn seating will be priced at just $5 per ticket. Meanwhile, tickets to the Captain Morgan Cove premium seating area will be $25 per ticket, which includes a $10 credit towards food or drink at the bar. Indians Flex Plan vouchers and Knot Hole Kids Club passes will be honored for all home playoff games.

Maryland St. Tickets for any contest not played will become “rain check” vouchers that can be exchanged at the Victory Field box office for a ticket to any Indians regular season home game in 2012, excluding July 4.
The Indians are chasing the Gwinnett Braves and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs for the Wild Card playoff position. Entering play Friday, the Indians trail both the Braves and IronPigs by two games. The Indians have four games remaining on their regular season schedule, including back-to-back home games tonight (7:15 p.m.) and Saturday (6:05 p.m.) against the division-rival Louisville Bats.
