The Marion County Clerk’s Office released final early voting numbers Monday, showing a decline in early voting participation during this election cycle.
Here are the final numbers:
- Early Voting in-person numbers are 31% lower than this time in 2011.
- Requests for absentee ballots by-mail are 35% lower than this time in 2011.
- 6,658 requests for absentee ballots by-mail have been made in 2015, and 10,306 requests for absentee ballots by-mail were made this time in 2011.
- 5,645 completed absentee ballots have been returned in 2015, and 9,283 completed absentee ballots were returned this time in 2011.
- Completed absentee ballots have a return rate of 85% in 2015 and 90% this time in 2011.
