The Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. announced its 2025 Summer Series, which includes five months of free interactive programming along the Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene and Marilyn Glick.

Kicking off in May and running through September, the summer programming is designed to be accessible and enjoyed by Hoosiers and visitors of all ages and abilities, according to a press release. The Cultural Trail will feature events and activities — such as Latin Night at Lugar Plaza, live music on the Downtown Canal, group walks, bike rides on the Cultural Trail and fitness classes — each night of the week.

“Like the Cultural Trail itself, our summer offerings are free and designed to be accessible and inclusive for all ages and abilities,” Kären Haley, Indianapolis Cultural Trail Executive Director, said in a statement. “These experiences invite everyone to explore the Cultural Trail, discover new parts of the city, and be part of a connected and welcoming downtown community.”

Sunrise Yoga on the Canal, Pilates on the Plaza, Bike & Bootcamp and Roast Ride are set to return as part of the Cultural Trail’s free summer programming. However, new this year is a Bikes & Bakeries group ride and a new HIIT class.

Most programs will occur regularly, from May through September, but guests are encouraged to check the Indianapolis Cultural Trail website for updates. Though all programming is free and open to the public, registration is encouraged and even required for some programs.

The diverse program offerings are supported by a partnership with the City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development (Indy DMD) and the community organizations and local businesses that help lead programming.

“Cultural opportunities and community-building events are the heart of a vibrant and connected city like Indianapolis,” Mayor Joe Hogsett said in a statement. “The City is thrilled to once again partner with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail to create these opportunities for residents to enjoy downtown during the summer months.”
