Are you aware of the term called mindfulness meditation? There are several different guided meditation techniques, out of which this is one. These techniques mainly focus on helping a person to calm down the mid and control his or her emotions in order to release stress. Whenever you get angry or extremely sad and frustrated, you start feeling tired after the emotional outburst is over. During your outburst, you tend to lose your balance of thinking clearly. Your blood sugar levels skyrocket, you perspire and sweat and see red. And after you are down, you have a headache. Try meditation and power yoga in general to help you control your mind. Once you gain power on your mind, having a healthy body will be no big deal. Physical fitness is only possible when you are mentally controlled and strong.

This is one of the most basic requirements of guided meditation techniques.

Try guided imagery. The object can be anything starting from a calm ocean, a large green meadow, a lonely shadowy beach, green trees, blue sky, or even a leaf. It should be pleasing to the mind. After staring at the object, painted picture or real life scenery, close your eyes and think of something good like a happy face, of your loved one, a happy baby, a nice memory, anything. The scenery would already have started working on your body helping you to remain calm. When you close your eyes, a whole new experience of a cool state of mind will be reached. If you suffer from insomnia, or sleep disorder of any sort, when you go to sleep, switch off the lights; make your room dark and comfortable. Put on some instrumental music and practice guided imagery in your head with your mind’s eye. Sleep will soon come to you. Meditation helps keep diseases at bay and also helps you to be a well balanced human being.
