Bethel AME Church celebrates the founding of the AME Church denomination and the 250th birthday of founder Richard Allen. Bishop John R. Bryant, senior AME bishop was the special guest. Edward L. Wheeler, president of Christian Theological Seminary and the Indiana Lay Organization, where Pearla Gholston is president, were honored. Elders Samuel Sumner and Anne H. Byfield were hosts for the event.
