Garfield Park is the relaxed setting for the FREE outdoor film series “Movies on the Lawn” shown monthly during the summer, hosted by Indy Parks & Recreation.
The June screening features Mel Brooks’ 70’s cult classic “Young Frankenstein” starring Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn and Marty Feldman.
Residents can drive, bike, walk, hike or run to beautiful and historic Garfield Park. Movie-goers are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets, chairs and bug spray. Local Food trucks are welcome on-site and the movie will begin shortly after dusk (around 9 p.m.) on The Lawn just behind the Garfield Park Arts Center.
