John Andretti has won races all over the globe, but his Indiana roots
continue to drive him to help kids in Indiana.
Andretti will again raise funds and awareness for Riley Hospital with the
Kroger Race for Riley Go-Kart Event at New Castle Motor Sports Park.
Partnering with Kroger and Cheerios, Andretti has played a vital role in
raising more than $1 million since 2007 for Riley Hospital and looks forward
to the event as much as any NASCAR or IndyCar event he participates in.
āRiley Hospital for Children holds a special place in my heart and there is
nothing better than seeing people come together for a great cause,ā Andretti
said. āI’m excited to have Kroger and Cheerios involved as event sponsors.ā
The go-kart event runs from 1 to 7 p.m. on July 22 and is open to the
public. Donors will get the chance to compete in heat races and the winners
will even get a chance to run against Andretti in a special feature race.
There will also be a 100-lap event that will include NASCAR and IndyCar
drivers.
Hoosier legend and fan favorite Tony Stewart will make an appearance and be
signing autographs.

Notes: Andretti will also be visiting Riley Hospital this week to visit and
distribute goody bags to patients.
Interested in attending this go-karting event? Again, it is open to the
public and you can still donate as well. Simply travel I-70 eastbound out of
Indianapolis to exit 123 and then go south off the exit one quarter of a
mile.
