Join The Alliance For Responsible Pet Ownership (ARPO) at the Fur-Ever Love Gala Feb. 9 for an evening of fun where all proceeds go to the care of rescued dogs and cats. The event will be held at the Auto Vault, 705 N. Illinois St., from 4 p.m. ā 8 p.m. and will include live entertainment featuring the band Free But Not Cheap and magician Caleb Wiles, classic cars, a silent auction and raffle, contests, a cash bar, appetizers and dessert.
Tickets are $40 a person; $75 per couple; $210 for a party of six; and $320 for a party of 10.
ARPO has been helping the four-legged Central Indiana residents for 15 years and has saved the lives of more than 4,300 animals thanks to generous donations and partners. ARPO pulls animals in need from a variety of shelters and situations, from puppies and kittens to seniors and medical need cases.
Once an animal is brought into ARPO it is moved into a foster home where it stays until a permanent adopter is found. During their stay with ARPO they are spayed or neutered, brought up to date on shots and given any training that is deemed necessary to adopt them out. This process is costly and adoption fees only covers 50 percent of the money spent on the animal prior to it being ready for adoption.
Events like the Fur-Ever Love Gala make it possible for rescues to be able to help those who canāt help themselves.
