The Recorder Women’s Auxiliary is pleased to make available the enclosed scholarship application packet for our various scholarships for the 2016-2017 school year. Each scholarship will be awarded a student based on the following principles:
- Academic Excellence
- Community Service
- Future Aspirations
Eligibility Requirements
Each applicant must meet the following criteria:
- Be in good standing at an accredited high school
- Have an accumulative GPA of a C average at the time of application submission
To Apply:
NOTE: An application is not considered received unless all materials listed below are completed and received before the deadline- May 7th
- Scholarship Application Form
- Documentation stating pending application from colleges/universities applied for or acceptance letter from college/university
- Official Transcript from current high school
- 2 Reference Forms
- The form must contain at least 1 letter from a staff member at your current school.
- Reference cannot be submitted by a family member.
- Prepare a 1-2-page essay on the following: “Why would you be a good candidate to receive this award?” Essay must be double spaced and a 12 size font. Utilize the information from your Scholarship Application Form in your essay response.
