There are times in a Christian’s life when one may feel disconnected, discontent or deficient. Perhaps priorities are not aligned with God’s will or one may have lost their enthusiasm for Christ.
Sometimes one might be upset with God. These feelings can lead to Christians “backsliding,” relapsing into one’s bad ways or past errors.
According to the online quiz created by Changing the Face of Christianity where more than 1,500 people participated, one in three self-proclaimed Christians admit they rarely live the teachings of Jesus Christ.
According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, however, when one decides to follow Jesus, they are a “new creation.” These results should have local preachers and Christians concerned whether they or their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ are living according to their godly principles on a regular basis and not just putting on a performance during Sunday service.
All Christians have the opportunity to start over and have their past sins forgiven. Here are some tips Christians can practice on a daily basis in order to grow closer to God and strengthen their walk and faith in Christ.
1- Read your Bible every day.
2- Set aside time for effective and meaningful prayer.
3- Attend church and other supplementary services/classes regularly.
4- Be of service to others.
5- Share your beliefs so that you spread the good news.
6- Reform yourself/practice what you preach.
7- Depend on the Holy Spirit inside you.
8- Acknowledge your faults and repent.
9- Fellowship with other believers.
10-Imitate Christ in any circumstance
