More by this author

On Wednesday November 25 the Horizon House, a full-service agency that connects homeless individuals with integrated, comprehensive services – will be hosting a donation drive thru to help acquire winter items for the homeless individuals they serve. The center is asking for new or gently used adult coats, blankets, heavy/thick winter hats, gloves & scarves, thermal underwear, thermal socks and winter boots.

Hot 96.3 radio host B-Swift will be on hand helping to collect donations.

When:  Wednesday, November 25th 3:00pm to 6:00pm and Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving) 8:00am to 10:00am

Where:  Horizon House Parking Lot located at 1033 East Washington Street.  Parking lot can be accessed off Washington Street or Southeastern Avenue.

How:  Drive thru our parking lot and donate needed winter items. Volunteers will collect your donations car side. Donations are tax deductible.

Why:  Horizon House needs winter items to provide to homeless individuals (we call “neighbors”) to survive the colder temperatures during winter.  For some of our neighbors, this is the difference between life and death.
