A founding partner of an Indianapolis architectural firm plans to formally announce his Democratic bid for Indiana secretary of state next year.
Vop Osili plans to hold media events in October in Marion, Allen and Clark counties to announce his candidacy. Osili says his agenda will focus on improving the election process, streamlining the business registration process and combating securities fraud.
Carmel attorney Tom McKenna, who worked for eight years under Democratic governors, has created an exploratory committee for a possible Democratic bid for secretary of state.
Republican Fishers councilman Charlie White has said he’ll run for the office. Current Republican Secretary of State Todd Rokita can’t seek a third term because of term limits.
