Denise Herd is an entrepreneur, visionary and mentor. Utilizing decades of experience in marketing, public relations and strategic communication, Herd launched Herd Strategies, a full-service public relations firm, in 2011. Today, it is one of the only Black, female-owned entities of its kind in the state, garnering several awards and recognitions. This year, Herd Strategies was listed in the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Book of Lists as one of the top 25 PR firms in the city for the second time in a row.
Outside of the business, Herd is a sought-after public speaker, workshop facilitator and university professor. She holds several board commitments and is an active member of the Alpha Mu Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. Herd is also a Harley Davidson enthusiast and member of the local chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers.
