The Links honor master chefs

The Circle City Chapter of the Links, Incorporated will host its 15th Annual Jazz Brunch and Fundraiser “A Salute to Masters of the Culinary Arts” Saturday, June 19 at 10:30 a.m. at the Renaissance Hotel North, 11925 N. Meridian St., Carmel.

The honorees include Master Chefs Richard Bishop, Percy Grant, George Neely, Dwight Simmons and Hollis Thomas.

Tickets are $50 per person. The event includes a brunch buffet, entertainment and seasonal shopping. Proceeds will benefit programs supported by the Circle City Chapter of the Links Incorporated including the Asante Children’s Theatre, Dress for Success, Celebration of the Arts, Scholarships in the Arts and other Indianapolis community enrichment programs.

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of 12,000 professional women of color in 273 chapters located in 42 states, the District of Columbia and three foreign countries: the Republics of Germany and South Africa and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

Links members contribute more than 500,000 documented hours of community service annually – strengthening their communities and enhancing the nation.
